Capri - All British Day 2018 (Brisbane)

Held every year in September & organised by the MG Car Club, the All British Day is always a good morning for car fans. It was a beautiful warm, sunny day & the school grounds always provide a great venue. As usual, there was a huge variety of well turned out British cars. Sadly, only one Capri this year, my white 1972 XL. I think all the others had gone on holidays. Here are some photos.

Capri - T Bar Replacement

The T Bar shifter on my white XL has had a piece of the black plastic trim broken off ever since I have owned the car. I have been on the look out for a replacement for some time & one became available on E Bay several weeks ago. My bid ($15 + $10 postage) was it, so I won the prize!
I gave it a good clean & then the fitting was pretty easy until I lost the tiny screw that secures the handle. It actually fell right through the slit where the shift lever comes through the floor. Luckily, I had the original one so it worked our OK. Here are some pictures.
